When Ben Corbin’s uncle is murdered, he comes into possession of information about the man responsible for the death of his mother and father. A man his uncle appeared to be hunting. Now Ben wants to finish what his uncle began.
Jacob Moser fell into a cycle of drugs and abuse. His will broken, his life destroyed, he had no hope of survival. But the man who saved him is no angel; rather, the remnants left behind when all the complexities of what makes a person human are stripped away, leaving the darkest parts of a man.
Marcel Serghi lives by the rules of his House. Rules ingrained in him as a child under the most brutal conditions meant to hone him into a perfect killer. And throughout his life, he has made vicious enemies. Now innocent lives have been swept up into a storm of revenge against him.
But Marcel isn’t going to save them.
He’s going to change them.
Because life is a gift.

After listening to your review I’m glad to know that all three parts were available around the same time. It sounds like it would’ve been frustrating if you would have had to wait on parts two and three because of the intensity of the story.
With that being said, this sounds amazing. Sam broke my heart right off. You know me. 🙂 I just wanted to hug him. It sounds like an excellent read that brings out all kinds of emotions.
The visuals and quotes are, as always, fantastic.
Great review, Karen.
It is SO good to have all parts available like this. I’m waiting for Mortal and Divine, Volume II right now and I’m going crazy because I try to plan my reading around when a book I categorically know I want is coming out.
I’m really surprised Sicarii doesn’t have more ratings/reviews on Goodreads right now as this is really good, different, completely consuming. Maybe the times? You know how busy I am but I ploughed through 627 pages like a person possessed.
You would have loved Sam, you would have wanted to protect him. I know I did. He was a lovely character.
I had a bit of fun finding pics for quotes for this. Thanks, Cindi 🙂
