Boone is dangerous. Everyone knows it. Jupiter doesn’t care.
As the oldest son of the biggest weapons dealer on the west coast, Boone doesn’t even try to live the life he wants. Years ago, reality taught him to accept being alone. Then a beautiful man with unearthly blue eyes caught his attention. Boone doesn’t hesitate to stake his claim. Unfortunately, his past still exists in the present and it threatens everything he’s trying to build.
Jupiter sees Boone. His unhappiness and loneliness speaks to him. Since they belong to the same fetish club, Boone already knows what Jupiter needs and Jupiter can’t resist. But all the crime family ugliness he thinks he can ignore is nothing compared to Boone’s past. That’s not as easy to swallow and might be the thing that destroys them.
In Daddy’s Hands is the second book in Charity Parkerson’s Little Lost series where adorable, sometimes bratty, and scared Littles meet the men of their dreams.
Review –
In Daddy’s Hands is book 2 of the Little Lost series. As I mentioned in other reviews, I started this series at #6, Beau and Kylo’s book, King Daddy. I’ve since read #1 as well, Short-term Daddy. Short-term Daddy didn’t say much about Beau, Boone’s father, but In Daddy’s Hands shows exactly why Beau is hated by his sons. I mentioned in my review of Beau’s book that my rating would likely be different had I read the others first. After what came out in this book, I would’ve really been hesitant to even read it. I’m all about a good redemption story, but some things can’t be forgiven.
Boone, 33, is a killer. The oldest son of the biggest arms dealer on the west coast, he’s not close to anybody other than his brother, Banks. Boone was introduced in the first book as one of Jarek’s clients. He’s feared by all, and given a wide berth everywhere he goes. Luca, Jarek’s man, didn’t fear Boone at all. His sweet self just saw somebody who was alone and maybe needed a friend. Needless to say, Jarek didn’t feel that way, but Boone became the main reason they ended up staying together, so there you go.
Banks, Boone’s brother, owns The PlayPen, a kink slash fetish club. A lot of business is conducted inside that building with Boone, Banks, and Beau. Even so, it’s the one place where Boone can relax a little. When his jerk dad isn’t around anyway.
Jupiter, 24, is a Little at The Playpen, and one of Luca’s new friends. Jupiter has slowly been moving closer to Boone. Like Luca, he doesn’t fear Boone at all. Jupiter is also being noticed by Boone. Boone is just too scared to make a move because of his past, and the last thing he needs is to pull sweet Jupiter into his warped world.
Jupiter was one of only two Littles at The PlayPen that had the balls to speak to him and the other one was engaged to Boone’s lawyer. Boone couldn’t let this opportunity pass. Jupiter had his attention. Likely, that wasn’t a good thing.
That changes when Boone, Banks, and Beau are at a restaurant and Jupiter is their server. Boone picks up the check, leaving a note with his phone number. He then comes back and picks Jupiter up from work. This is how they begin.
For Boone to be such a supposed bad guy, he pulled on my heartstrings throughout the entire book. It’s been a decade since he’s been with anyone, since he’s allowed himself to feel anything for anyone. Jupiter has wormed his way inside his heart. Boone’s biggest fear is him walking away when he sees the real Boone. Or worse, when he sees how his family is.
The meeting with the family was something else. Jupiter had been told by Beau that he and Boone were to show up for dinner at his house the following Saturday. There was no discussion. It was understood that since Beau said it, that was that. That’s not all Beau said, but I don’t want to say too much.
The dinner would be the first time in ten years Boone stepped foot in that house. He didn’t know if he could do this.
The dinner went much worse than I expected because major secrets came out. No, not just came out. They were thrown in Boone’s face. All that was bad, but an explanation later was so, so much worse. In that moment, I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that had I read this first, I never would’ve touched Beau’s book. If ever there was a time I totally despised a character, it was Beau at this dinner. Even so, no doubt my opinion of that book will likely change if/when I do a reread. This is why I don’t like reading books in series out of order.
Then there’s Boone and Banks’ mother. Not sure how I feel about her.
I’m not even going to get started on Adan other than to say I hated him the minute he was introduced. His story is Dangerous Daddy (Little Lost, #5). I’m glad that one isn’t next because I am SO not ready to see him again, much less in his own book.
“For fucks sake, Adan. Stop acting like a thirsty whore at the dinner table. Just because I let you fuck my husband doesn’t mean you can do so during a family dinner.”

I absolutely adored Boone and Jupiter together. They were so perfect for each other. Different as night and day, but still perfect. It was nice watching Boone let his walls come down a little, and it was nice watching him allow Jupiter to take care of him. Boone is the daddy in the relationship, but he had no problem with Jupiter taking charge when it mattered.
The next book is Deadly Daddy (Little Lost, #3), Banks’ story. I loved Banks. He was good to Boone, and he was good to Jupiter. He was also there when it counted when it came to his and Boone’s parents, and later, with something that happens at the club.
Overall, I loved everything about this book except Beau, his wife, and Adan. Had it not been for them, it would’ve been damn near perfect.
