Jailbird, orphan, debutante drag queen – the baby of the FuBar family has had one hell of a year. Add a jealous boyfriend, gender dysphoria and a raging case of agoraphobia, and Miss Rose still has a lot going on.
Not to mention that there’s a very real possibility that she’s in love with her best friend, Justin.
When the death of her stepfather brings up old wounds, Rose goes into a tailspin of booze, drugs and partying. And when an intervention forces her to confront her feelings for Justin, Rose is also forced to confront the fact that true love alone might not be enough to bring her the peace that she craves.

PLEASE NOTE SPOILERS POSSIBLE AS THIS IS SERIES BOOK #5
I finished In Bloom about two weeks ago but I’ve had a lot going on in the meantime. This review is from memory only, I had no notes to refer to.
I’m going to mix reviews up between written and podcast style from here on in.
Also, I refer to Rose as “she” throughout because that’s who Rose is.
First, wow, what a cover. Gorgeous. I can’t tell you how much I love your audio review. I’ve missed hearing your Aussie accent. 🙂 It is often easier to give your thoughts on books by saying them instead of writing them. I’m thrilled that you’ll be doing more.
I’m loving Justin even more, which makes me want to jump into the series. The quotes and pics you used are amazing.
Great review, Kazza.
It really is a fitting cover for the story.
Urgh. It’s so weird hearing yourself back in a recording and I would have liked to have changed things but it is easier for me to talk than type. I’ll mix it up with reviews. Depends on the book and me and what’s happening 🙂
Justin is special. Memorable. Adam/Bunny is unforgettable as well. This series is worth reading if you ever get the chance. I love the quotes too and the pics, it’s the best part of reviewing.
Thanks, Cindi 🙂
